  1. I believe deserts have lot of significance to our Earth, it holds many types of plants that have soon brought great resoures that have cure diesases and brought vitamins and minerals. It is also a large habitat for many animals. If I had to live in the desert I would have to kill animals for my vitamins and protein and I would find a stream for water.

  2. I do think deserts are important because it is home for many plant and animal species. It would be very hard to live in a desert, but I would eat plants and animals I would trap.

  3. I think deserts are important because they contain various plants and animals. These plants and animals can be beneficial to us humans. An example is the camel. The camel has been a reliable pack animal for thousands of years. The plants are a good source of food in the desert. Deserts also contain many minerals. Some examples are potassium and gypsum. If I had to live in the desert for a week, I would take plenty of water and find some sort of shelter from the heat. I would also bring food, as well as hunt.

  4. I really do think that deserts are important to our earth. They are home to many different animals and is a huge habitat whether we know it or not. A lot of animals such as lizards, snakes, camels live in deserts. If I had to live in a desert for a week I would live in a RV. My reason for this is because I would have my own food,a/c, and also be comfortable in a bed.I would bring a supply of water also so I will not die of thirst!

  5. I believe that deserts are important to our lifestyle and Earth because it contains many plants that we need to survive because plants give off oxygen. If I had a week to live in the desert, I would be most worried about water. I would bring a lot of water to help me survive off the week because it will be very easy to get dehydrated and I would bring a tent and probably some crackers or something that does spoil or go bad.

  6. A large part of our Earth's land is covered in deserts. Although we always think of deserts as bad, hot, and dry places, they are there for a reason. Without deserts, many animals wouldn't have a place to live. A variety of different species have adapted to desert conditions and wouldn't be able to live anywhere else. Also, desert sands contain a special type of bacteria that helps balance off carbon dioxide levels in the air. It would be very hard for me to spend a week in the desert, but if I had to, I would go prepared. I would take plenty of food, water, and sunscreen.

  8. Even though when we first think about deserts we automatically think of HOT, extremely hot. However, no matter what there is one good thing about deserts that I have acknowledged. A Deserts dry condition can make it a good place for preserving human artifacts and fossils. However, even though like any other land form deserts serves its purpose I would not like it at all to live there. If I would have to live there for a week the only thing I can think of off the top of my head is to make sure I have containers of water to stay hydrated because with the weather we are experiencing now, I don’t think I could bare a week of desert climate at all!

  9. Deserts are important because there are many animals that live there. If I had to live in the desert for a week, I would bring a lot of water and I would bring a tent that was not heat absorbent.

  10. I think desserts are very significant. They don't look like they hold much life, but that is because so many of the animals there only come out at night. It holds many different species of plants and animals that are fascinating. If I had to life there, I would bing a whole lot of water because it rarely rains. I would also bring sunscreen and a tent that wasn't black, because that absorbs heat.

  11. Deserts are important because they can support the life of certain animals that require the specific attributes. If I had to stay in the desert for a week I would bring plenty of water, possibly a handheld fan, and a comfortable blanket for the nights when it gets pretty cold. I would most likely try to find a cactus and, after seeing if it's safe, use it for a water source if my water runs out. I'd probably bring a few non-perishable foods that don't need to be cooked that I can eat throughout the week.

  12. In my opinion deserts don't have any direct meaning. A question I always thought about "why do we have to take sand from the ocean floor?" Can't we just move sand from the desert? I don't know how I would survive in the desert, no idea at all!
